Amedei’s Crus come from defined production areas, since they are the result of a particular climate and sunshine in specific regions, just like grapes. Thus, each of them carries its own individual characteristics and distinctive flavour and can be considered as the most immediate, “wildest” expression of their cocoa beans. Each variety represents a part of the currently existing genetic diversity of cocoa plants, as they are all obtained from the beans that best retain the characteristics of each tree type, selected and grown to precise standards by the producers in their countries of origin. The beans of this chocolate come from Ecuador. Its crisp cracking sound marks the start of a surprising journey into the taste, with reminiscences of the forest, the flavour of pistachio and accents of exotic fruits.
