Laura King is widely regarded as the UK’s leading caviar expert and was the first caviar importer to introduce DNA testing to guarantee the provenance of King’s caviar. Laura was first introduced to fine foods as Director of European Purchasing for Philippine Airlines, including purchasing caviar. She then moved to Air Europe before being headhunted by W.G. White Ltd. There, Laura used her many years observing people as they sold to her and it wasn’t long before she became Sales Director. This invaluable experience left her with an extraordinary knowledge of caviar, gained over 14 years.
In 2004, Laura decided to use her expertise to found her own business. With the support of her late husband, Executive Chef, John King and children Holly and Harry, King’s Fine Food was born. Son Harry is currently training to be a photographer so is also likely to offer support on the promise of his favourite Amedei chocolate, another of the company’s best-selling fine food products.
Laura is a self-confessed ‘foodie’. And her passion and drive take her to the four corners of the globe to source the world’s very finest foods.
“I’m proud to represent outstanding companies and supply some of the world’s finest foodhalls, restaurants, hotels and airlines,” says Laura, “I’m passionate about our products and delighted to bring them to both trade and retail customers through this website”.
SALES EXECUTIVE AND CAVIAR PRINCESS – HOLLY KING
Holly King is the Sales Executive for King’s Fine Food. After completing a course in business at college, Holly joined King’s Fine Food in 2015 and quickly found her forté in sales. You might recognise Holly from her appearance on Channel 4’s World’s Most Expensive Food. Holly and Laura starred with their blend of passion and knowledge for caviar and other fine foods.
Holly is often found conducting caviar tastings for chefs, hoteliers and private customers. She has become an invaluable asset to King’s Fine Food as well as building her own reputation as the Caviar Princess.
“I’ve grown up around fine foods, with Mum and Dad so involved in the world of caviar and cooking. Joining the family business was a great opportunity to help continue the success of King’s Fine Food for the next generation.”
Laura says: “I’m so proud to have Holly at my side and be working with her. She is the future of King’s Fine Food. Holly has always been an amazing support to me, especially during the difficult time when we lost John. As a family, we are all so proud to have set up the John King Brain Tumour Foundation, the adopted charity of King’s Fine Food”.
