The 'Family Treasure'. This blend fully expresses the Amedei philosophy. A combination of cacao from 9 plantations which, over the years, have been discovered, restored and rendered productive again by Alessio Tessieri. From this, Cecilia created a powerful and balanced dark chocolate, in which the aromas of the plantations persist in this chocolate's unmistakable flavour.
The River Cafe exclusively uses No. 9 as a couverture in its desserts. Amedei's dedication to quality and their control over the complete production process, led to this bar gaining the Golden Bean - the most prestigious award at this year's Acadamy of Chocolate Awards.
AMEDEI 9. Tasting notes: A persuasive full flavoured chocolate with notes of forest undergrowth and wood notes, fresh aroma of cacao and hot chocolate, citrus and sweet toasted almond.
