Dear Chocolate Lover,
It is with great pleasure and with no small amount of pride that we are able to announce the Awards gained by Amedei at this year’s Academy of Chocolate Awards held last month. Competition was fierce with over 400 entries from producers such as Valrhona, Domori, Thorntons and Cluziel, judged by experts and afficianados including Benoit Blin from Le Manoir, Shaun Hill from the Walnut Tree, and renowned food critic Charles Campion.
Amedei’s attention to detail at every step of the production process, combined with their passion, saw them once again take home a Lion’s share of awards including the ‘Golden Bean’ award for their ‘9’; an award that is given to the bar that the panel of experts judge to be the most outstanding bar of the year. Amedei also won gold awards for their Porcelana, Toscano Black 70% and Milk Chocolate with Hazelnuts, whilst they won silver for their Toscano Black 63%.
"This is an achievement that is renewed year after year," Alessio and Cecilia Tessieri enthused upon learning of their achievement, "and a satisfaction that shows no sign of fading. Despite the prizes carried off in previous years, we're still thrilled to learn of the award bestowed upon us by such a prestigious organisation as the London Chocolate Academy, in part because there were many extremely reputable firms contending with us in the best 'Bean to Bar' category, which makes us all the more proud of our work. We ought to point out that this success is due to the work of our entire team; a team that day after day, in Italy and abroad, gives its all to keep Amedei Chocolate the best in the World."
