SoSalt was founded in 1922 by a group of Trapni business men involved, by tradition, in the economy of salt production. Right from the beginning, the company aims were to optimise cultivation and collection of the salt without interfering with the natural ecosystem. The production potential created enable the company to present itself to the national and European markets. Currently, the salt-works controlled by the group extend over around 800 hectares and guarantee a production potential of around 100, 000 tones. |
