The owner of Castillo De Canena - and producer of these award winning extra virgin olive oils, Rosa, is an inspirational woman with many different business interests worldwide. Laura and Rosa also share many of the same passions for food (and Gin and Tonic!).
Castillo De Canena has a history dating back to 1780 on the foothills of the Spanish Sierra Magina and on the banks of the Guadiana Menor. This oil is of such outstanding quality it is possible to eat it without any accompaniments.

The excellence of this extra virgin Spanish olive oil rests on the expertise surrounding the harvest of the olives – trees are individually selected when their fruits have ripened to their full extent. After harvesting the pressing is carried out as soon as possible in chilled conditions and the olive oil obtained is immediately decanted to their cellar. All extra virgin olive oil rests here until it is bottled exclusively on demand into dark glass bottles which protect the quality from light.
