We work very closely with the Kenya Nut Company who not only grow more than 10% of all Macadamia nuts worldwide, but also have great vision about the future and their products. They are currently building a whole town, encompassing a school, hospital, church, community hall, football pitch, and fantastic housing, for one thousand of their workers. I was fortunate enough to visit them with British Airways’ staff recently. The care shown to their employees extends to the product. Packed beautifully, the quality is outstanding. Whereas oil is mostly used in the nut roasting process in the UK, the Kenya Nut Company employ the very labour iintensive dry dark roasting process whereby nuts burned during roasting have to be discarded.
